The New Thought movement had its origins in the U.S. during the early 19th century.  Many of the ideas, principles and core teachings of New Thought can be found in the heart of the world’s religious and spiritual traditions.  So though not a religionor denomination, in many ways New Thought is ancient wisdom expressed in a contemporary way.  New Thought holds that infinite Intelligence or God is everywhere, operating in and through all life, never separate from anyone or anything.  By being mindful of our positive thoughts and focusing on inner transformation, we can transform our external world. Essentially, by changing our thinking we can change our lives.  One of the most prominent contemporary spiritual thinkers is Ernest Holmes. “The Science of Mind is the study of life and the nature of laws of thought; the conception that we live in a spiritual universe; that God is in, through, around and for us.”
